When I was around 10 years old or so, I picked up my first my first Iron Maiden record, Number of the Beast. I was young, didn't feel like I had much purpose in life or at least not yet, but ever since that day, I can say that I've probably listened to Iron Maiden nearly every single day of my life since then. I would stay in my room and sing along with the songs to try to sound just like Bruce Dickinson wanting to be just like him (I still do that, actually.)
It wasn't until I was maybe 12 or 13 when I decided that I wanted to seriously take music as a career, so I just happen to meet this dude who just so happens to be my best friend in the world now who needed a singer for a band he was fixing on starting, so I volunteered.
I try to listen and appreciate every genre whether it's country, pop, techno, you name it. I do like everything to a certain extent. But when it comes down to everything, heavy metal will always be my favorite mainly because of the attitude. To this day, Iron Maiden is still my favorite band, but I love The Beatles, The Who, Rush, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Little Richard, King Crimson, etc.
Music is my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I refuse. I'd probably be dead without it. I don't wanna do anything else in my life but make and play music for people.
