Newsted

Newsted is Jason Newsted's metal band. It's great. Jason is one of the coolest dudes ever, and he's probably the coolest dude in the metal music industry. As in, he's not a self absorbed jerk.
Jason himself is the bassist and vocalist for this group, both of which are fantastically written and performed. Not to say the drums and guitar aren't good, because they are, it's just that the highlight of the band is Jason...in my opinion.
He released a 4 song EP for the band simply titled, "Metal", which I went nuts for went it came out.
And somewhat recently he released a full album called Heavy Metal Music. Great name. Great name considering that's what you get. True heavy metal at it's core.
I don't mean to come off as one who worships JN, but I do honestly think everything he does is just freaking great. Saying that, I'll just spoil upcoming posts on this blog. Echobrain and Flotsam and Jetsam.
